As of Monday I had finished moving everything from the Rental. I was so glad to have finished. And now I get to have fun putting things away in our new home.
So a bit of an update on work and my FMLA request. I can't really go too much into it right now because I have to take things further in HR than I wanted to.
Basically, they denied my FMLA request twice and I have caught the Occupational Health Nurses in 3 different lies. My doctor's office is confused and angry with the situation that has happened. I'm confused, frustrated and furious with the nurses, so much so that on Tuesday HR suggested that the best thing for me would be to not work that day as the nurse I had spoken to about the second denial had given me panic attacks and heart palpitations.
Let's just say that Tuesday was NOT a good day.
I will update when I can, but right now I am more concerned with J coming home in 17 days :)
Getting the house in order and loving life (and my jeep! which came home on Sunday as well)
Hope you all have been having a great week! Mine has been up and down, but I have this entire weekend off and I plan to enjoy it!
Our Journey to becoming less haunted by debt. There will be good times, and I'm sure bad, but in the end we hope to bring our debt down and manage our financial lives responsibly.

Quick Update
Sorry for the lack of posting here, things were a little hectic in the countdown to J's return and then when he did return it's been fun catching up :)
I promise to get back into the swing of things here soon.
I'd like to start posting more about house hunting and what I'm doing to save money. Plus we have the new goals to look forward to when J goes back to Afghanistan (paying off the Canadian cards and the car....and the Jeep, which is AWESOME by the way :P )
Still reading all of my blogroll, so I am keeping up with that at least :)
Until then!

Balances Update (September)
Wow! I can't believe I'm late on this. I guess with J coming home and everything else that has been going on (which I will explain in a later post) I just plain forgot. My bad!
As you know from my post about the WWII Jeep, we added $12,000 of debt, which will be paid off in about 3-4 months. This was a planned expense, just not this early! Things come up and sometimes you have to take advantage of them. Pictures to come soon :)

Unexpected Purchase
I know it's been a week or so since I last posted, but I had a WWII reenactment and military vehicle convoy in Gettysburg, PA. There were some good aspects (the convoy and battle in New Oxford, PA) and some bad (rain, mud, and a lack of communication which resulted in me leaving early).
On my way home, my sinuses decided they had had enough and filled up. I've been dealing with that, and now think I have a sinus infection. Yay me!
On more good news front, and a credit score update, my Equifax score is now 752 and my Transunion is 776! John's Equifax is 700 and his Transunion is 706! Although, those are going to change, which I will explain here soon.
In a previous post, I mentioned how J and I would be purchasing a home and eventually a WWII jeep once we had cash available, which wouldn't be until the new year.
Well, back in July I had emailed someone who was selling a WWII jeep in our area. At the time, the person selling it decided they didn't want to sell it. This was fine, I don't blame them for not wanting to sell it! Then, last week I got an email from the family saying that they now indeed had to sell it and was I still interested. Dilemma!!!! Yes, I was still interested, but we don't have the cash on hand to buy it. We will though and it is something we were budgeting for in the future. So after going back and forth, and actually going to look at it, we decided to get a loan from NFCU and pay it off in 3-4 months.
Reasons for doing it. Jeeps in the condition this is in are not easily come by. Jeeps in my area on the East coast in this condition, even harder to come by (and usually NOT for sale) and the price, while it is expensive, is more than a fair deal for a WWII antique in working condition! Most jeeps are located on the west coast and shipping is EXPENSIVE. In fact, this jeep came originally from San Diego where the current owner shipped it from, and is definitely not making any money on this sale.
So, we now have another loan, but as I stated, this will be paid off in the next few months. On a positive note, I did qualify for the lowest interest rate! So I will update a new sidebar for the jeep which is $12,000. I will also post pictures once I take possession
We are still CC debt free, which was the originally intention of this adventure :)
