Ah, December. Probably one of my most favourite months. I am a Christmas junkie. I LOVE Christmas. But this year, it just won't be the same. I will do my best though to remember that J is doing this deployment so that we can have many more Christmases, a family to create bigger Christmases, and a House to have thoses Christmases in :)
Things otherwise are going well. Work seems to make the days go by quickly. My parents will be here to celebrate with me, and then the cruise in January. I am actually looking forward to it.
I need to join the goals group and make some 2012 goals here too! I like watching folks like Nikki at Debt Free by Thirty periodically update her goals throughout the year.
I'm still working on my payoff plan for the updated debts that we will want to pay off with this new deployment. Even though J got paid today, it was only for 1 week of being there, so it's like a 'normal' paycheck. It will pay rent, car insurance, cell phone, water and our personal property taxes for the year.
Finally, time to update the blogroll! I've had these on my favourites list for a while and not sure why I never added them. But here they are! We may be poor, but we are happy, The Happy Homeowner, and Working for a Goal

I know how sad Decembers can be without your spouse or loved ones. Wishing you the best and hope you still get to enjoy most of December!
I think doing a monthly check in with goals is a great way to stay on top of them. I know it helps me refocus if I need it.
I'm a Christmas junkie also. Sorry that you have to spend it without your spouse.
I love it how you're focusing on how much better future Christmases will be. I am sure you will have a great time this year, and much much better years to come. I saw those 12 goals and I need to get cracking as well!
PS: Thanks for the addition to your blogroll!
Love December as well! So sorry that it is going to be a difficult one for you this year... just keep positive & remember that it is just a short time :)
Love the look of your blog!!!
